KAMOKE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that his party would free Punjab from the Sharifs in 2018 general elections.
“We will free Punjab from the Sharifs and will make sure that the resources that these people send overseas are spent on the welfare of the general public,” Imran said while addressing a rally in Kamoke.
Taking jibes at Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif, the PTI chief said that Shehbaz has spent Rs 6,000 billion in 10 years but has failed to make a hospital where he could also be treated.
“Nawaz Sharif’s wife went to London for treatment, and so did Shehbaz, but the mothers of those who can not afford to go London, what do they do?,” Imran quizzed.
Continuing his tirade, Imran said that instead of improving the health sector, Shehbaz spent billions on Multan Metro which is used by a limited number of people. “Shehbaz has stolen billions. Nawaz was earlier disqualified and now it is Shehbaz’s turn,” Imran added.
