Renowned poet Anwar Shahoor saidthat the poetry of Muneer Niazi was simple, thought-provoking and completely based on truth.
Sharing his ideas while addressing the ceremony “Ek Sham Muneer Niyazi ke Nam” organised by the Library Committee of Arts Council Karachi on Saturday, Anwar Shahoor said that it was the duty of our youth to write books on Niazi’s fabulous work.
Professor Mir Hamid said that Muneer Niyazi was also a famous columnist who contributed in volumes to Urdu literature. Professor Haroon Rasheed said that Niazi’s poetry was completely based on the issues faced by the society and he always wanted to portray his views through his poetry.
The chairman of the Library Committee of Arts Council Pakistan Sohail Ahmed said that Muneer Niyazi was a famous poet and he also wrote many beautiful ghazals and “Hamesha Der Kar Deta Hoon” was one of them.
The secretary of Anjuman Urdu Taraki Pakistan, Fatima Hassan read the quotation which described the life of Muneer Niyazi. On this occasion Agha Masood, Sabiha Saba, Aizaz Qureshi, Faheem Burni and many other also commented on the personality and poetry of Muneer Niyazi.
Mohammad Mohsin thanked to the President of Arts council Karachi and all the members who participated in this fabulous evening. The event was observed by many famous poets and journalists.
Meanwhile, the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi in collaboration with Sehar Foundation will organise a launching ceremony of Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah’s book “1875 Aur Millat K Pasban” on October 14, 2018 (Sunday) at Manzar Akbar Hall at six in the evening.
The event will be presided over by the president of Arts Council Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah. The chief guests will be Alhaj Mohammad Hanif Tayyab, Prof. Pirzada Qasim, Syed Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, Dost Mohammad Faizi and others.
