KARACHI: The Pakistan International Airlines (PA) is reluctant to provide the record of corruption to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the sale of tickets to the United Kingdom (UK).
According to sources, the PIA itself had lodged a complaint of corruption in its revenue management in 2011, but now it was dragging its feet in the case. The FIA has written letters to officers involved in the corruption of millions of rupees.
The FIA started investigations after a complaint from the PIA revenue department that corruption of millions of pounds had been committed in the sale of tickets to UK. However, the officers concerned are not willing to submit the record to the FIA. FIA officials say the PIA management was not serious about the case. Sources say over 2m pounds were swindled in the case.
