LAHORE: Security forces in Balochistan on Wednesday arrested two suspects allegedly plotting to assassinate provincial governor.
In a raid in the Gulistan area of Qilla Abdullah District, law enforcement agencies arrested the suspects who were planning to kill Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai and seized two suicide vests along with a huge amount of arms and ammunition.
Briefing the media, Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said those arrested were involved in various terrorists’ activities and were planning to attack the governor of Balochistan.
“A major terror bid being planned in Qilla Abdullah has been foiled today,” he said.
Bugti added that those involved in the recent terror attack in Quetta’s church will also be arrested very soon.
