ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly approved demand of grants worth Rs 113 billion for Railways Division for the fiscal year 2016-17, on Saturday.
The demand of grants was presented to the House by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. Those demands included Rs 72 billion in respect of Pakistan Railways while an amount of Rs 41 billion have been approved for capital outlay on Pakistan Railways.
The NA also approved demand of grants worth approximately Rs 1,573 million for Climate Change Division for the fiscal year 2016-17. These grants included Rs 546 approximately to meet expenditures of Climate Change Division while Rs 1,027 million for development expenditure of Climate Change.
